The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The coral builds have no playability whatsoever and they are merely act as display stands for the minifigures and the sub, like with the other 2023 LEGO Avatar sets. The LEGO Avatar Mako Submarine (75577) seem to be a little overpriced for what you get but you do get four minifigures and a ship that is a decent size, however, the playability is somewhat limited as there isn’t much to do on it. Other than that, there’s not much else in the back of the ship. The back of the submarine has three-ducted propellers that are able to be rotated. The sides of the ship has four harpoon torpedoes that are only for looks as they are just clipped on and not the flick-fire ones. The top-middle of ship is able to be removed to reveal some sort of glowing device using some tranparent orange round bricks. ![]() ![]() There are some stud shooters on each side of the cockpits. Each of them has a stickered control panel with an opening windshield. The Mako Submarine has a reasonable size and is able to fit two minifigures inside, one for the pilot and one for the gunner. The larger coral section has a cave area and the top part has a spot for the stingray. His face has printing of an underwater mask with a smile on one side and an angry expression on the other.Īs with the other Avatar sets, there are some small coral builds for the minifigures and the Mako Submarine to connect on to simulate them swimming. His body and legs has printing of some tattoo/camouflage printing all over with printing of a loincloth on the legs. Lastly, we have Spider who is actually one of the few humans in the movie. His outfit shows him wearing some tactical gear with the legs being useful for other minifigures. Quaritch is in his Recom variant which is in the Na’vi body. His accessory is a crossbow that uses a translucent blue arrow. Like Neteyam, Ao’nung looks really plain and only has printing of the loincloth on the legs. The legs have some printing for the loincloth. There really isn’t much on the torso besides some printing of his collar around the neck. Neteyam looks to be a generic Na’vi minifigure. There are four minifigures in the set, Neteyam, Ao’nung, RDA Quaritch, and Spider. I haven’t seen the movie set yet and it looks like there are some spoilers so here’s your warning if you haven’t seen it either. ![]() This set has 553 pieces and retails for $59.99. Next up on my reviews of the LEGO Avatar: The Way of Water sets, we take a look at the Mako Submarine (75577).
